Do you fit lift kits for Adelaide 4WD owners?
Yes. We supply and fit suspension lift kits at our Gawler South workshop, about 40 minutes north of the Adelaide CBD. Every kit is matched to your vehicle and load, then fitted with an alignment check and a test drive.
How much can I legally lift my 4WD in South Australia?
In SA you can raise a 4WD by up to 50 mm in total, by suspension lift, body lift, bigger tyres or a combination, without a roadworthiness inspection. Anything over 50 mm needs prior approval, a report from a Light Vehicle Engineering Signatory and a roadworthiness inspection. Does a suspension upgrade increase my GVM?
No. Heavier springs and better shocks help a loaded 4WD sit level and handle properly, but they don't change its legal Gross Vehicle Mass. Only an engineered GVM upgrade does that. If your bull bar, canopy, water and gear take you close to the limit, we can fit an Ironman 4x4 GVM kit at the same time as your suspension.
